Nimbus 18L

This is my first non-photo item from Wandrd. As a happy customer who owns an Prvke, Transit backpack and Rogue sling, the Kickstarter campaign for the Nimbus made me curious. The photo backpacks are super comfortable and versatile, and so is the Nimbus.

It is a small/medium backpack for daily use. My 13" MacBook Pro fits perfect in the padded laptop slot. Even the bigger 15" fits, but it is tight. The main compartment is large enough for objects like a writing block, pens, books, tech bag and magazines. The smaller mesh compartments are useful to keep small things organised, and a dedicated key pocket keeps them safe thanks to a clip. Two side pockets can be used for multiple purposes, like storing water bottles, umbrella's or walking sticks. Multiple loops can be used to attach gear, like an extra pouch.

Opening and reaching into the main compartment can be a little bit difficult, since it opens only about one third af the total height of the bag. It is more like a top loader, on which the front part folds open. That's something to get used to, but no major minus.

On the back there's a hidden pocket for a passport or cash money. It is a little bet hard to reach, but that also counts for pickpockets. The shoulder straps are comfortable, also because of the sternum strap. Because of the capacity (18 liters) there's no need for a waist belt, like on the bigger photo bags. The sternum strap keeps the backpack at its right place.
