WANDRD Tote Backpack

Bag is excellent. I was searching for the right tote for months. The adaptability of this bag to different carry styles and uses is seamless, quality is excellent, very satisfied.

A combo tote/backpack involves some compromise - upon receiving it I was hesitant about closure of the tote (no zipper) when used as under seat airline luggage and whether the backpack straps would hook on items when used as a tote. The photos on the website did not show those potential problems. when used as tote with extension sleeve inside the bag the top can be hooked but would allow items to fall out if bag placed horizontally. The solution is to pull the sleeve out of the bag, roll it down and hook it - creating safe and water resistant closure. When used as tote the chest straps can secure straps against bag - lessening possible hooking. Also, the straps can easily transition between tote handles and backpack straps - allowing quick transition when using the bag as under seat airline carry on (it meets airline dimension requirements if not loaded above the tote line). Love this bag. I was looking everywhere for a tote that doubled as a backpack, and this is exactly what I needed! Very good material, very functional. If I could tweak two things about it, I’d put a lighter color lining the bag so it’s easier to see the contents when I’m digging through, and I’d add a zippered pocket to the outside. But those haven’t been dealbreakers so far. Will definitely be coming back to Wandrd for more gear in the future.
