I'm pleasantly blown away by this camera bag. I think the built in camera "case" or the padding is really what sets this bag apart from the rest. Also, having the "shelf" part of the padded camera area being removable is really a game changer. Being able to use and access the entire bag is a huge bonus and other bags I've purchased with a rolltop usually has the shelf. Everything else, every small detail, seems small but really is a huge deal. Everything is thought of, down to the individual separate compartments on the clamshell and even the extra length of all the straps on the bag, and how they're kept tidy with elastic fasteners.
The only complaint I have, is that the water bottle holder, even when unzipped, and even when the bag is completely empty, is very tight.
Fits my Sony A1ii with 50-150mm f/2 lens, WITH the lens hood on. The bag is a little smaller than you'd expect overall, which can be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. In my case, I love it. As a 5'4" female, I find it difficult to find a camera bag that doesn't look too bulky and weigh a ton. I also love all the colours that this bag is available in, as camera bags are usually only in black.
I really wanted to love this as my main camera backpack (for work), but it's become my favourite everyday carry backpack, and even for travel.
In a nutshell, here are (in my opinion), the notable pros and cons.
PROS:
- built in camera case/padding
- (optional) removable shelf inside, so…
