I bought the 15L v4 for my wife. She really likes it.
Below I’ll explain the differences compared to my 20L v3 and what I would change.
• In v4 there’s a great top access to the upper compartment. On my v3 you have to go through ten circles of hell (all the buckles) just to get to your phone or headphones. That said, I’d make this pocket with two zipper pulls so you can attach zip ties.
• The large metal buckle from the top pocket has been moved to the back. That’s a good change — now it doesn’t knock right behind your head.
• The main compartment has been redesigned: the straps were re-sewn, and the main compartment no longer pulls backward. It finally looks clean and well-balanced.
• I don’t understand why they removed the velvet-lined pocket for glasses, or rather replaced the material there. Now you have to keep your glasses in a case when using that pocket.
Honestly, v3 isn’t very suitable as an everyday backpack, even though that was one of the reasons I bought it. I’d really like to switch to v4, but that would mean buying everything again, including the cube.
